My name is Mark Moore and I am an agricultural engineer working for a global farm machinery company called AGCO. You may be more familiar with AGCO's brands: Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra, Challenger, and GSI. Although I am based in the UK, I spend most of my time travelling around Africa mechanising farms. I purchased my first MGB when I was a student at Cranfield University, Silsoe. That was many years ago and I have always owned an MGB since graduating in 1990. Unlike modern farm machinery, such as tractors, you don't need a computer to fix something on a MGB. An MGB is an ideal low cost classic car to own and maintain, especially for an agricultural engineer. In fact many of the components on my MGB are similar to the Ferguson TE20 tractors that were made in Coventry, UK, 70 years ago.
If you want to find out a little more about my activities in Africa please take a look at the article below I wrote for the Institute of Agricultural Engineers.
