Below are some technical tips that I have had to learn. I will not re-list technical advice from else where, but I will add some from my experience of working with MG's in the hope it will benefit others.

Rear suspension RUbber bump stop Installation

Fitting the rear suspension rubber bump stops appeared to be impossible, becasue the locating hole in the top of the bump stop seemed far to small to fit over the lug welded to the chassis. So I ended up developing the following bump stop installation method using a 19mm socket, washers and a long nut and bolt.

Use vice a silicon lubricant to insert 19mm socket in into top of bump stop.

Socket insert into top of bump stop.

Place long bolt through socket, install washer and nut. This is required to remove the socket once the bump stop is installed on the car.

Place bump stop below locating lug on chassis. Use a block of wood between bump stop and rear axle. Then use trolley to raise the axle. The bump stop will be pushed onto the locating lug.

Bump stop installed. Use spanner on nut to remove the socket, which is still inside the bump stop.
